Graphene fluoride has a wide range of potential applications and good development value
2022/12/01
Graphene fluoride is a derivative of graphene. Graphene fluoride has a unique crystal structure, good stability and corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength and good biocompatibility. At present, the applications of graphene fluoride are mainly in lithium batteries, photodetectors, modified resin materials, medical fields, etc.
The discovery of monolayer fluorinated graphene was reported by Geim et al. of the University of Manchester in science in 2004, which kicked off the research boom of fluorinated graphene.
The chemical method is a reaction between a fluorinating agent, graphite and fluorine gas. Since F2 is expensive and difficult to operate, many studies have improved this method by reacting graphene with XeF2 or CF4 at room temperature to prepare fluorinated graphene.
According to the "2019-2023 China Graphene Fluoride Market Feasibility Study Report" released by NewSIndustry Research, at present, the main domestic chemical method to study graphene fluoride are Tianjin University of Technology, Southwest University of Science and Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Sichuan University, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry Hunan Elemental Code Graphene Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shandong Ltd. and so on.
The physical method is divided into mechanical exfoliation method and liquid phase exfoliation method, i.e. the preparation of graphene fluoride by liquid phase exfoliation or mechanical exfoliation of graphite fluoride. Fewer institutions in China have carried out the physical method to prepare graphene fluoride, mainly the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc.
